Community Creation

In early 2011, At Work contributed a few melodies as a response to a call for collaboration from the Philadelphia Ambient Consortium.

New Jersey's Qixoni took the melodies and made a full track out of them.

He also shared them with his friends who produce: Bit Mummy, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Release The Kraken, from the now devastated Jersey shore.

Each took the few scraps provided and constructed their vision out of very little. Meanwhile, At Work remixed Qixoni's interpretation.

These mixes are the result.

Credits:
Track 1 produced by Release The Kraken & At Work.

Track 2 produced by Qixoni & At Work, remixed by At Work.

Track 3 produced by Bit Mummy & At Work.

Track 4 produced by Qixoni & At Work.

Coordinated and made possible by a generous effort from Qixoni. Thanks to Qixoni the Philadelphia Ambient Consortium for helping to further local creative communities.

At Work's Floods Remix In Iron Man Records' "Gimpo's M25 25 Hour Spin" Film November 16, 2012

Gimpo's M25 25 Hour Spin has happened once a year, on the weekend closest to the spring equinox, since 1997. It will continue until the 25th spin, in 2021. You can read Bill Drummond's account of his participation in the 1st spin here. And see pictures here.

At Work has joined in on the 5th and 8th spins.

The man behind Iron Man Records participates. He made this above film, and then added At Work's remix of "We Broke: Down" by Floods as the score.

This glimpse into the 25 hours takes in the highway ambiance as the caravan makes its way through the wee morning hours of an early spring night, following the Orbital, crossing over the Thames on the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge into Essex, with still hours yet to go.

"We Broke: Down (At Work) is taken from the Floods EP, Intermission (PATH16) available from Batona Music at http://batona.bandcamp.com/album/intermission. Released November 10, 2012.

Filmed around London on the M25 Orbital, March 24, 2012.
Directed and produced by Iron Man Records.

For The Spin.

The four At Work mixes were done in 2003 into 2004. Some have appeared in At Work live sets and one has mutated into something terrible that will be out later this year as an At Work release.

Batona label-mates Cloud People have also contributed two colossal remixes.
